“To the Museum Today — To Science Tomorrow!” Festival Welcomes Its First Young Guests

On March 14, the “To the Museum Today — To Science Tomorrow!” Festival welcomed its first school and college students.

St Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE) opened its doors to students from Schools No. 281, 362, and 238 and their parents, as well as students from the Academy of Urban Environment Management, Urban Planning and Printing studying Tourism.

The program included a guided tour of the former Assignment Bank, an architectural landmark designed by Giacomo Quarenghi. Guests learned about the building’s history and its role in the development of Russia’s financial system.

The program also featured a mini-lesson on financial history, banking, tourism, and hospitality. Participants watched the film “Myths and Realities of the Assignment Bank,” which explores the building’s history and the institution’s work.

Guests also learned about educational opportunities at the university. As a souvenir, each participant received a griffin figurine, the symbol of SPbSUE.

The Festival continues to bring together the city’s educational and cultural venues, giving school and college students an opportunity to discover science through museums.
